Windows 95/98 support under the Desktop Management System will be more limited in scope as it is necessary to concentrate future development on the Windows NT/2000 platform. Despite this, all services provided for NT platforms will be available for Windows 95/98 with some exceptions.

Centralised application distribution via ZENWorks will not always be available as a matter of course. Where necessary 95/98 versions of applications will be prepared but the additional workload may mean that this is treated as a lower priority. As future products become available it will be more necessary to concentrate resources on the developing platform of Windows NT/2000.

File, print and directory services will however be available for the foreseeable future as Novell’s support for this platform is excellent. Most other services will be available however the platform is not as secure nor as robust as Windows NT/2000 and will therefore not be supported indefinitely into the future.
