What is Apex?

Application Express (Apex) is a rapid web development tool for the Oracle database. Using only a web browser, a workspace and limited programming experience, you can develop and deploy professional applications that are both fast and secure.

A workspace is a virtual private database allowing multiple users to work within Apex installation but keeping their objects, data and applications private.

UTAS staff can request an Apex workspace by filling this form (Authentication required). This service is mainly directed at staff with no programming experience who wants to turn Excel spreadsheets into web 2.0 reports which are accessed and edited via a web browser . Check related videos below:
